The reason age matters is a specific hardware requirement. Windows 11 needs a TPM 2.0 security chip and a fairly recent processor. - Repurpose it. A machine that can’t be trusted with email or client data may still be fine for a fixed, offline task. Just don’t leave it doing everyday work on your network.

Step three: test before you commit
Here’s where careful businesses save themselves grief. Step four: roll it out in stages
