Logic Board & Motherboard Repair

Component-level board repair when others say "unrepairable" — no-power, short-circuit, charging-IC and GPU faults fixed at the chip level, not by replacing the whole machine.

Repair the board, not the whole machine

When a laptop won’t power on, shorts out, or won’t charge, many shops only offer one fix: replace the entire board, at a price close to a new machine. We work at component level — diagnosing the actual failed chip or circuit and repairing it — which often rescues a device that would otherwise be written off.

Board-level faults we repair

  • No power / no boot — tracing dead boards to the failed component
  • Short circuits — often after a knock, surge or spill
  • Charging-IC faults — won’t charge or won’t recognise the charger
  • GPU & display-circuit faults — artefacts, no image from a working machine
  • Liquid-corrosion damage — repaired at the source, not just dried out

Who it’s for

Businesses and professionals with a valuable machine others have declared dead — a high-spec workstation, a newer MacBook, a CAD or editing laptop — where component-level repair is far cheaper than replacement, and where the data on it matters.

How it works

  1. Send us the symptoms — what happened, and what it does (and doesn’t) do now
  2. Collect or on-site assessment — boards come to the bench for proper inspection
  3. Component-level diagnosis — we find the specific fault and quote honestly
  4. Micro-solder repair & test — repaired at chip level, then stress-tested

An honest second opinion

Sometimes a board genuinely isn’t worth saving — and we’ll tell you, then focus on recovering your data and getting you onto a sensible replacement. But it’s worth checking before you bin a machine on someone else’s say-so.

Frequently asked questions

Another shop said the board was unrepairable — can you still help?

Often, yes. "Unrepairable" usually means "we only swap whole boards." We repair at component level — tracing the fault to a specific chip or circuit — which can save a machine others would write off.

Is a board repair cheaper than a new machine?

Frequently, yes — especially on higher-end laptops and MacBooks where a whole-board replacement costs nearly as much as a new device. We quote honestly so you can compare against replacing.

Is my data safe during a board repair?

The storage is separate from the board work, so your data normally stays intact — and if a board can't be saved, we can usually still recover the data from the drive.
