RAM Upgrade
Stop the slowdown when you've got a dozen tabs and three apps open — more memory for smoother multitasking, with compatibility checked before we order a thing.
More memory, smoother multitasking
If a computer grinds whenever there are a lot of tabs, spreadsheets and apps open at once, it’s often short on memory (RAM). Adding more lets the machine hold everything it’s juggling without choking — so switching between tasks stays smooth instead of stuttering.
What’s involved
- Compatibility check — your exact model, current memory and maximum capacity
- The right modules — correct type and speed, matched to your machine
- Fitting — installed and verified, on-site or by collection
- Honest advice — including when RAM isn’t the answer and an SSD is
When a RAM upgrade helps
- Heavy multitasking — many tabs, apps and spreadsheets at once
- Design, photo, video and CAD work that’s memory-hungry
- Running virtual machines or large datasets
- A machine that slows to a crawl the more you open
Who it’s for
Businesses and professionals whose machines stall under real workloads — finance teams in giant spreadsheets, designers and editors, developers running VMs. A targeted upgrade is far cheaper than replacing a capable computer.
How it works
- Tell us the machine and the work — model, and what bogs it down
- Check & advise — we confirm what it can take and whether RAM is the right fix
- Collect or on-site — fitted at your desk or by collection
- Install & verify — memory added, tested and confirmed working
RAM or SSD?
The two fix different problems — RAM helps with how much you run at once; an SSD helps with how fast things load. We’ll tell you which your machine actually needs (sometimes both), rather than selling you parts it won’t benefit from.
Frequently asked questions
How much RAM do we actually need?
It depends on the work — general office use is comfortable at 16GB, while heavy multitasking, design, video or virtual machines benefit from 32GB or more. We advise based on what you actually run.
Will more RAM definitely speed things up?
If a machine slows down with lots open, runs out of memory and starts using the disk, then yes — noticeably. If the bottleneck is an old hard drive instead, an SSD is the better fix; we'll tell you which it is.
Can my machine be upgraded?
Many can, but some modern laptops and Macs have memory soldered in and can't be changed. We check your exact model first and tell you straight before recommending anything.
