3D Printer Setup & Calibration

Get a new or temperamental 3D printer properly dialled in — assembly, calibration and reliable first layers, so it actually prints instead of fighting you.

Response within 4 hours On-site & remote No long contracts Windows & Mac

A new 3D printer isn’t plug-and-play

Out of the box, most 3D printers are nearly right — and “nearly” is the difference between clean prints and a spool of spaghetti. We assemble, calibrate and properly configure your printer so the first layer goes down right and stays that way, instead of you losing evenings to trial and error.

What we set up

  • Assembly & checks — built, squared and safety-checked, with firmware up to date
  • Bed levelling & first layer — manual or auto-levelling dialled in for consistent adhesion
  • Calibration — flow/extrusion, e-steps, temperatures, retraction and belt tension
  • Slicer profiles — tuned profiles for your materials (PLA, PETG, ABS/ASA, TPU) in your slicer of choice
  • Material guidance — what to print at what settings, and how to store filament so it behaves

Who it’s for

Design and architecture studios, schools and universities, makerspaces, product designers and serious hobbyists across London — anyone who’d rather be printing than fighting their machine. Ideal when a printer has just arrived, or when one that “used to work” has drifted out of calibration.

How it works

  1. Tell us the printer and what you print — make, model and materials
  2. On-site, collection or remote — physical calibration in person; profiles and firmware remotely
  3. Dial it in — we calibrate and run real test prints until output is clean and repeatable
  4. Hand over — you get working profiles and a plain-English guide to keep it that way

Problems we sort out

  • Prints that won’t stick — or stick too well and tear the sheet
  • Warping, curling and lifting corners
  • Stringing, blobs and under- or over-extrusion
  • An inconsistent or gouged first layer
  • A printer that worked fine, then quietly drifted out of true

Frequently asked questions

Which 3D printers do you set up?

Most common FDM and resin machines — Bambu Lab, Prusa, Creality, Anycubic, Elegoo, Tronxy and more. If it's a mainstream desktop printer, we can almost certainly get it dialled in.

Can you help remotely, or does it need to be in person?

Slicer profiles, firmware and software setup we can often do remotely. Physical calibration — bed levelling, belt tension, flow — is best done on-site or by collection so we can test real prints.

Our prints keep failing — is that a setup problem?

Usually, yes. Poor adhesion, warping, stringing and under-extrusion almost always trace back to calibration and slicer settings rather than a faulty machine. We tune it and show you how to keep it dialled in.
