Moving to a new laptop is where files, settings and years of work can go missing. Our team set the new machine up and moved everything across, so day one just worked.
The challenge
Getting a new laptop is the easy part. The bit that goes wrong is everything else: the files, the photos, the email, the little settings and saved passwords that make a machine yours. Move to a new laptop badly and you spend weeks discovering things that got left behind on the old one.
What we did
Our team set the new laptop up properly — accounts, email, printers and the everyday settings — and handled the data transfer across from the old machine. Everything the user needed was moved over and checked against the old laptop before it was retired, so the new one was genuinely ready to work, not just switched on.
